Privacy policy

How we handle the data of hosts, guests and site visitors.

1. Roles

When a host creates an event, the host is the data controller for their guests' information and Magno Events acts as processor: we handle it only to run that event and following the host's instructions.

For host account data and visitors to this site, Magno Events is the data controller.

2. Data we handle

From hosts: name, email and payment details processed by Stripe or Mercado Pago (Magno does not store card numbers).

From guests: name, contact details and the answers an event needs, such as attendance per occasion. Dietary restrictions are optional; if they reveal health data, such as allergies, they are sensitive data: only the host and coordinator see them, and they are deleted when the event is archived.

From the website: minimal technical server data. We use no advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site.

3. Minors

Minors never have accounts. We do not ask for their date of birth; we only flag them as minors for seating and menu. An adult manages events for minors, and photos and videos are visible only to that event's guests.

4. Purpose and consent

We process data to run the event: sending invitations and reminders, recording responses, showing dashboards to the host and delivering the gallery. When answering an RSVP, the guest authorizes processing; we store the date and the version of this policy accepted.

5. Retention and deletion

Retention depends on the plan. When an event is archived we offer an export. The host can delete their event, and any guest can ask us to delete their data by writing to hello@magno.events.

6. Your rights

Under Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012 you may know, update, correct and delete your data, and revoke your authorization. Write to hello@magno.events and we respond within legal deadlines.

7. Security and third parties

We use Google Cloud and Firebase infrastructure, transactional email, payment processors and media storage. We apply isolation between events, role-based access and backups. No system is flawless; if an incident affects you, we will tell you.

8. Changes to this policy

We will publish any change here and update the date. Last updated: November 1, 2026.
